¡Globalquerque! radio broadcasts

globalquerque_1Last year the ¡Globalquerque! world music festival broadcast much of the festival live on local community radio station KUNM. This year, organizers will be broadcasting the first night of the festival live again this year on September 21, from 6 pm to 11 pm MST.
 
 The broadcast is performed out of the Southwest Stages mobile studio. Southwest Stages is on hand to record the festival for later radio broadcast on their one-hour syndicated radio show. You can find out more about Southwest Stages at www.southweststages.com, including a schedule of programs, radio stations and broadcast times. Many of the radio stations stream on the web, so you have a variety of options to check out highlights from last year’s festival.Here are the programs that will be airing over the next three weeks leading up to ¡Globalquerque! 2007:
 
 August 27th – September 2nd
 
 "Best of the 2006 ¡Globalqueque!, Vol-1" Featuring Kiran Ahluwalia, Chirgilchin, Oliver Mtukudzi, and Gjallarhorn, recorded live at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
 
 September 3rd – 9th
 
 "Best of the 2006 ¡Globalquerque! , Vol-2" Featuring Charanga Cakewalk, Aurelio Martinez, Trio Jalapeno, and Curumin, recorded live at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
 
 September 10th – 16th
 
 "Best of the 2006 ¡Globalquerque! , Vol-3" Featuring Les Yeux Noirs, Shooglenifty, Prince Diabate, Red Stick Ramblers, and Slonovski Bal, recorded live at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
