World Music Nominees for 2007 Grammy Awards

Los Angeles (California), USA – The Grammy Awards will be given tonight. World Music Central has selected below the categories that focus on world music and American roots music artists. In the contemporary world music category, well known names made it to the final list: Richard Bona, Salif Keita, The Klezmatics, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and the late Ali Farka Toure.
The 49th Grammy Awards will take place live on Sunday, Feb. 11, at Staples Center in Los Angeles (California) and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 Surround Sound on the CBS Television Network at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). The show also will be supported on radio via Westwood One worldwide and XM Satellite Radio.
