Canadian Company Signs Portuguese Artist

Canada – Mirateca Arts Management (MAM) signed an exclusive
Canadian deal with Portugal’s “New Generation” fado singer, Joana Amendoeira.

Principal Manager, Terry Costa, is excited that the company will be
representing the youngest professional fado singer in world music today. “Joana
is a beauty beyond all senses
,” says Costa. “Her voice lifts spirits from
the traditional classic fado. We are thrilled to be working with her Portugal
team to insure success, not only embraced by the Portuguese-Canadian community
but Canadians at large
.”

The Canadian deal comes attached to a CD launch and distribution across the
vast land of Canada. Joana Amendoeira’s fourth CD, with Portugal release in the
autumn 2006, will be followed by the Canadian release launch. Also, a major
promotional campaign, one of the largest for a Portuguese artist in Canada, will
ensure Joana Amendoeira becomes a house-hold name for world music in Canada.

Mirateca Arts Management tour-plans for Joana Amendoeira are underway and the
company welcomes any presenters for additional concerts in the 2007 year.
Portugal’s fado music will be at the forefront of Canada’s world music
communities with Joana Amendoeira.
