Andean /group mitimaes Working on New CD to Be Released in 2006

Peru – Andean group Mitimaes is working on its new recording,
produced in its own studio in Arequipa. As usual, the album will feature
Peruvian themes and original compositions by the members of the group.

This is the first recording produced in Mitimaes’ native land, since all its
previous productions were carried out in Europe. The earlier recordings,
Esperanzas de Libertad-1984 (Hopes of Freedom), Huauk’ey-1985 (Brother) and Luz
de esperanza-1991 (Light of Hope) will be remastered in Peru.

Mitimaes is formed by six musicians from four towns (Cabanillas, Sandia,
Arequipa,
Juliaca) in southern Peru. they specialize in music from the highlands of Peru.
