Benefit Concert for New Orleans Hurricane Victims in Toronto

Toronto, Canada – On Sunday, September 25th, 2005 from 7pm to Midnight, former New Orlean’s resident Kevin Clark and friends will gather for a benefit concert in support of New Orleans Hurricane Victims. The event will take place in the Fermenting Room at the Historic Distillery District (55 Mill Street). On stage to join Kevin will be many local musicians such as Denis Keldie, Jane Bunnett, Christopher Plock, Alex Pangman, Richard Underhill, Jake Rude, Nick “Brownman” Ali, Julie Crochetière, Laura Hubert, and several others. New Orleans resident and award winning pianist Tom McDermott will also be in town to participate in this benefit. Bands such Dirty South, Club Django have confirmed with the possibility of Loco Zydeco, Rhythm & Truth, as well as many other prominent bands. A full line-up will be released prior to the benefit. All musicians performing are graciously donating their time and energy.Southern cuisine will be dished out during the concert generously donated by the
Distillery Restaurant Group with a cash bar available. A silent auction will be
offering music, art, gift certificates, furniture, New Orleans archived
pictures, Southern Artifacts, and more. Guest appearances by local athletes and
other celebrities will also take place.

Tickets for this event will be available at the door for $20.00. All proceeds
raised will be donated to New Orleans Musicians Clinic (which offers healthcare
benefits to musicians and their families). Outlets for additional monetary
donations will be made available both before and during the Benefit Concert and
