Peru – Peruvian musician and researcher Octavio Santa Cruz Urquieta has published a 400 page titled La guitarra en el Perú
(The Guitar in Peru). The publication features the history of the guitar in Peru
from the colonial times until present day. It also includes sheet music from the Peruvian repertory.

Octavio Santa Cruz Urquieta has a degree in Art, is a professor at the Escuela Académico Profesional de Arte of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and is also a member of the renowned Familia Santa Cruz, one of the pillars of Afro-Peruvian music.
