The Senior Merchant manages a portion of the Merchant Director's overall business and the category strategy to achieve business performance goals. Responsible for end to end category level planning including vendor relations, assortment management, customer experience development, promotional planning, in-store merchandising and business performance evaluation. This role requires looking at the customer experience and P&L beyond the product assortment strategy and the ability to influence cross functional partners. This role facilitates internal and external partnership and partners with Merchant Director and VP of Merchandising to improve profitability and maximize shareholder value. This position will supervise, train and develop merchant team members.
