Oscar was one of our consummate greatest of performers and one of the nicest persons alive! He visited and performed at our early 1960s coffeehouse in Boston
the Golden Vanity, along with 17 year old college dropout, Joanie Baez.

Thanks for telling us about Dobet. Quick correction though – Abidjan ceased to be the capital of Ivory Coast in 1983. However it is correctly called the ‘main city’ or ‘commercial capital’.
