Arabeer is a Dutch based composer, who makes music on the crossroads of the east & west, the traditional and the modern.

From Arabeer, is the Silk Road musical project, called Centralasia. Part One, has just been finished: the composition "Anatolia", based on the Turkish traditional "Bakmiyor cesmi siyah". Arabeer is working on a song for every Silk Road country, based on the oldest traditional music that is available per country. This way Arabeer attempts to make a musical document of the wonderful Silk Road countries, starting with Turkey, ending with China. In this song several samples from 1920/1930's recordings of Turkish tradional music have been used. The total project is called "Centralasia". The link:
