Biography:
 
Atongo Zimba was born in 1967 in the savannahs of the northern Ghana. He learned as a young boy to play the molo, a two string calabash guitar.

With his distinctive raw deep, voice, he performs an eclectic mix - African ballads, funk, rap.

Barely an adult Atongo was already performing with Fela Kuti and other great African musicians like Manu Dibango, Hugh Masakela, Francis Fuster, and Angelique Kidjo.

From 1994, Atongo started to work on international projects in Amsterdam, Switzerland and London. This resulted in three albums, a theater part in London, a live tour in Switzerland and various Afro-jazz fusion projects.
