Since 2003, many have tried to describe The Duhks' music -- "contemporary acoustic," "progressive soul-grass," and "kick-ass rock/folk fusion" being just a few of the attempts to classify the group. This striking m?lange was captured in the studio for all to hear on their self-titled CD, The Duhks, their first with Sugar Hill, produced by Fleck with Gary Paczosa, one of Nashville's most in demand engineers/producers. With th e The Duhks, the band won universal acceptance as the up-and-coming neo folk-rock band. Visually stunning, musically inventive and emotionally stirring, The Duhks garnered massive critical acclaim, as well, topping year-end lists, winning a JUNO award, and successfully touring the world. With the release of Migrations (2006), the band continued to develop its singular brand of eclecticism with an album that is increasingly confident, personal, and distinctive. The album was co-produced by Tim O'Brien & Gary Paczosa. |
