In 1968, Edinburgh native Ed Miller left his home in Scotland to move to the United States of America to do graduate work for ?a year or so? at the University of Texas. Although it only took a few years to complete his PhD in Folklore, Austin has remained his home base ever since. Ed came of age musically during Scotland?s folk revival of the 60?s, and his rich, expressive voice does ample justice to his broad repertoire of ballads, broadsides, the songs of Robert Burns, and contemporary songs that extend the tradition. With three albums to his credit, including his latest, Lowlander, he is a favorite at folk clubs, festivals, and Highland Games and other Scottish events nationwide.
