Over the past ten years, Cyro Baptista, creator of the 10-piece percussion ensemble Beat The Donkey has emerged as one of the premier percussionists in the United States. He traveled the world on Paul Simon`s "Rhythm of the Saints" tour, has performed and recorded with everyone from David Byrne, Robert Palmer, Melissa Etheridge, John Zorn, James Taylor, Daniel Barenboin, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Wilton Marsalis, Medesky Martin & Wood and Sting.

His newest collective, Beat the Donkey, is a mix of Brazilian percussion, performance art, and chaos.
