Kamand is the only ensemble of its kind in the Seattle area. As such, its focus is not only to entertain but also to increase cross-cultural awareness and build relationships of respect and appreciation within the community.

The group has performed at diverse venues from the Seattle Folklife Festival, to the University of Washington, to elementary school fundraisers, and the Portland Iranian Festival.
