Chango Spasiuk plays chamame, a music style born in an area composed by Northeast of Argentina and south of Brazil. Chamame is composed of the guttural sounds of the Guarani Indians that lived in the area where this music was born, although the Guarani Indians do not play this music. Chamame was developed by the Creoles born in this area full of forests, rivers, falls and red ground, together with European immigrants that came from Germany, Russia, Poland, Ukraine, etc. The immigrants brought something very important with them, the accordion. It became a key element in the development of the genre. Chamame is called music of the servants because the country people brought it to the city suburbs where they settled. It is a complex beautiful music where you can find melancholy fighting with joy all the time. This is the music that Chango Spasiuk Orquesta plays, mainly instrumental music. Chango Spasiuk Orquesta: Chango Spasiuk - accordion, composer and director Chacho Ruiz Gui?azu - percussion and drums Sebastian Villalba - guitar and vocals Pablo Lopez - Violin Hern?n Prado - electric bass and double bass. |
