Biography:
 

With a long professional career as background, Lina Avellaneda has performed a high number of shows, such as "El Inmortal del Sur" based on Manuel Mujica Lainez and Jorge Luis Borges writings, performed by Daniel Miglioranza (in which Lina composed the incidental music and put her voice for the songs as well); "Veinte a?os no es nada", and the famous show named "Ciudadana", both written and performed by her, accompanied by Alejandro and Marcelo Devries, Federico N??ez, Horacio Lopez, Daniel Miguez and Antonio Agri.

She has received several awards and distinctions, among which we can mention: "Encontrarnos" Award, from Women of Argentina Association, shared with Antonio Tarrago Ros (1994); her nomination for ACE Awards (1994) and "Candil de Kilmes" Award due her artistic career (1998). Since 2000 she has being showing the successful "Tangolina", which is now back again, fully renewed, at Cafe Homero, at the heart of Palermo Viejo.

The group of musicians that accompanies Lina Avellaneda can be listed as follows: Nicolas Ledesma (adjustments and piano), Horacio Romo (bandoneon) and Quique Guerra (double bass).

These musicians, who have received a classic training, took part in different musical groups such as the Buenos Aires Colon Theatre Permanent Orchestra, the La Plata?s Argentine Theatre Orchestra and the Nacional Symphonic Band.

Nowadays, Guerra and Ledesma are members of "Julio Pane Trio". Nicolas Ledesma is considered to be one of the most important figures of the new tango generation. His first compact disc as soloist was largely praised by local press.

Romo is School Orchestra soloist and has won a Grammy Award due his performances on Piazzolla?s pieces of music.

These musicians have accompanied, among others, outstanding artists such as Roberto Goyeneche, Osvaldo Tarantino, Antonio Agri, Daniel Binelli, Osvaldo Berlinghieri, Roberto Pansera, Sexteto Mayor, Ernesto Baffa, Horacio Ferrer, Oscar Lopez Ruiz, Tango Siete (Switzerland), Royal Court Theatre (London), Milva (Italy). They have also worked with dancing companies such as Juan Carlos Copes, Tango x 2, Forever Tango, Orestes and Tango Argentino.
