Changes in WOMEX 2007 Program

Sevilla, Spain - The WOMEX 2007 Opening is tomorrow, and delegates are already arriving in Sevilla. Due to unfortunate visa issues, the Mastaki Bafa band will not be appearing on Thursday evening. They will replaced by Vieux Farka Touré (Mali). Mastaki and his guitar will still be present at WOMEX 07, and he will be performing a few songs at the special Central African Networking Session, which will be held Saturday 12:00 – 13:00 Mezquita Room (FIBES), Introducing Central Africa: The Artists and Professionals Discuss their Challenges.
Vieux Farka Touré (Mali) will be performing on Thursday 25 October at 22:30 at Pavilion 2 in the Plaza de España.
 
Canary Islander timple player José Antonio Ramos (Spain) has cancelled and will be replaced by Rogelio Botanz (Spain). Friday offWOMEX Stage: Sounds of Spain: 21:15 – 22:00
