Iconic Jamaican Roots Reggae Band, Culture in New York

EventsOn August 11th, world music club S.O.B.'s will present the iconic roots reggae band, Culture. Founded in the 1970's golden age of reggae, Culture has long been reggae’s preeminent harmony group and has garnered continual US and international acclaim for its extensive series of classic “roots” albums.

Culture’s long-time front man, Joseph Hill, passed away last year in the midst of a European tour, leaving his son, Kenyatta Hill to take up the band’s lead. Kenyatta stepped up and finished the tour, and has since led Culture through various festivals and concert venues to much acclaim, shocking critics and fans around the world by how similar he sounds to his late great dad.
