General News

One of Scotland’s top young folk bands, Bodega, will take Celtic Connections to the communities of Glasgow with a series of five concerts throughout the city this January as part of the festival.

The Celtic Connections Education and Outreach Programme is working in partnership with Culture and Sport Glasgow to bring the festival to the communities of Barmulloch, Barlanark, Knightswood, Penilee and Langside, allowing the people of Glasgow to see one of finest young bands on the Scottish folk scene perform live in their local area as part of Celtic Connections.

The band - who won the prestigious BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award in 2005, will perform in Barmulloch Community Centre (15th January), Barlanark Community Centre (21st January), Langside Halls (22nd January), Penilee Community Centre (28th January) and Knightswood Community Centre (29th January), with tickets priced at £2 and £3 and available from the venues.
