The legendary Nuevos Medios record label is all about discovery of new Spanish talent. Maui is a talented Madrid-based Andalusian singer-songwriter and cellist from Utrera in Seville province. Viaje interior contains a delightful collection of songs loaded with southern Spanish wit and poetry. On the music side, Maui incorporates flamenco and rumba along with Brazilian samba rhythms and Argentine tango.

Viaje interior features an impressive cast of flamenco, jazz, Latin jazz and global music musicians and guests vocalists from Spain, Cuba, South America, Portugal and Australia, including Martirio on vocals; Jorge Pardo on flute; Diego Ain on body percussion; Juan Tomás Alvarez on cavaquinho; Bandolero on cajón; Edu Barbero and Antonio Cortés on backing vocals; Santi Cañada on trombone; Diego Guerreo on guitar; palmas (flamenco handclap percussion) and backing vocals; Yelsy Heredia on acoustic bass; Miguel Angel Marquez ‘Antilopez’ on electric bass; Rycardo Moreno on guitar; Natalia Nascimento on backing vocals; Nasrine Rahman on percussion and palmas; Antonio and Lolo Saavedra ‘Los Mellis’ on palmas and jaleos (flamenco shouts); Joao Frade on accordion; Raúl Rodriguez on flamenco tres; and El Kanka on vocals.
