Celebrated Ghanaian Afro-Roots Musician Rocky Dawuni to Perform at SXSW 2015

Acclaimed Ghanaian artist Rocky Dawuni will be performing at South by Southwest (SXSW) 2015 in Austin to present his new album. The new recording titled Branches of the Same Tree is scheduled for release worldwide on March 31st.

Concert schedule

Monday, March 16th

An acoustic performance and panel discussion at the “Social Good Hub” at SXSW (inside Trinity Hall) organized by the United Nations Foundation and the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves at 16:00 (4:00 pm). Open to all badge holders.

Wednesday, March 18th

An acoustic presentation at Flamingo Cantina also including Kabaka Pyramid and more from 22:50 (10:50pm) to 23:20 (11:20pm). Open to all badge holders.

 

 

Saturday, March 21st

A full band concert at Quantum Collective Showcase from 16:20 (4:20pm) to 17:05 (5:05pm) on the rooftop of Whole Foods Market in downtown Austin. Must RSVP Here.

Saturday, March 21st

A full band show at Rock Paper Scissors showcase from 21:00 (9:00) pm to 21:40 (9:40pm) with WOMEX and GlobalFest at the Russian House. Open to all badge holders.

Furthermore, he delved into the record business, producing world music studio albums and compilations.
