Lost in a Moment (SaReGaMa/Six Degrees, 2006)

This is a superb album featuring progressive fusion with a distinctly Brazilian sound. The sultry vocals of Nina Miranda reflect a wide experience in trip-hop-n-bossa, along with the slick production of Dennis Wheatly.

The album has a nice blend of acoustic and electronic sound, and is perfect for a seductive weekend afternoon. Miranda is with the group Smoke City and has collaborated with Bebel Gilberto, Nitin Sawhney and Da Lata.

She sings in Portuguese, English and French. The mood of the album is suggestive of the title itself, and among the 11 tracks we recommend the pieces ‘Lost in Portuguese,’ ‘Floating city’ and ‘To The Floor.’
