Flutist, whistle player and uilleann piper maestro, Michael McGoldrick has been playing in Mark Knopfler’s band, at 30th anniversary gigs with Capercaillie, and with his dream-team trio with John McCusker and Doyle. Michael McGoldrick’s solo discography includes Morning Rory (Aughgrim Records AUGH01, 1996), Fused (Vertical Records VERTCD051, 2000), At First Light (Vertical Records VERTCD061, 2001), Wired (Vertical Records VERTCD074, 2005), Aurora (Vertical Records VERTCD090, 2010), and Live (Vertical Records, 2012). He also has numerous recordings as member of Flook, Toss the Feathers, Arcady, Eden’s Bridge, Capercaillie, and Lúnasa.

Formed out of conflict and displacement, Malian act Songhoy Blues preaches peace and reconciliation via Tinariwen-style grooves and blues-rock. Their album is titled Music in Exile.

Completing the line-up, Cameroonian singer Coco Mbassi performs primarily original material, blending African sounds with jazz, gospel and soul.
