Jose Merce to present Flamenco Recital at Suma Flamenca 2014

The last day of the week, Sunday June 15, the popular voice of Jose Merce will present Flamenco Recital. Jose Merce is a serious, sober and deep flamenco singer from Jerez de la Frontera. The sounds, echoes and beats of Jerez will be admired in this concert to be held in the Sala Roja de Teatros del Canal.

The fourth flamenco course for teachers will take place at the same theater. It is a project of the Antonio Gades Foundation directed by dancer and teacher Silvia Marin. Flamenco en el aula (Flamenco in the classroom) is a dynamic activity in which teachers learn to play handclap percussion, develop and manage simple dances as well as flamenco accessories such as fans, hat and castanets. The course duration is 9 hours and is taught from Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15.

Suma Flamenca is taking place from June 4 to July 3, 2014 at 24 venues in the Madrid region.
