The World Music APAP Pre-Conference, organized by Dmitri Vietze of rock paper scissors, inc., will take place Friday, January 9-10 at the New York Hilton Midtown. The sessions intend to expand the conversation from the business of presenting to other areas of the music business such as labels, technology, touring, and will highlight new developments and helpful tools for professionals in the world music realm.
“We built the World Music Pre-Conference content specifically to challenge and bridge diverse attendees, and to push the field forward the very day we meet,” said Vietze.” The line-up features additional speakers from Fela! The Musical, U.S. Department of State, Smithsonian, Indiegogo, PledgeMusic, PledgeMusic, Festival International, FLi Artists, Cumbancha, alongside the Minister of Culture from the nation of Cape Verde, among others.
