British record label Riverboat Records – World Music Network is the recipient of 2013 WOMEX Label Award.
Riverboat Records is World Music Network’s premium artist label founded in 1989. The label’s roster includes artists such as Mory Kanté, Bob Brozman, Debashish Bhattacharya, Nuru Kane, Sally Nyolo, Krar Collective, Etran Finatawa and many more.
The annual WOMEX Label Award is a joint project with the World Music Charts Europe (WMCE). The selection for the WOMEX Label Award is made using the monthly charts of 48 radio broadcasters from 25 countries.
Riverboat Records/World Music Network will receive the WOMEX Label Award on Sunday morning, 27 October 2013, at the Awards Ceremony accompanied by a WOMEX Networking Breakfast, both open to WOMEX delegates only.
