Tranzworld Express (integrity Music, 2011)

Australian multi-instrumentalist and actor Peter Westheimer explores various forms of edgy electronic dance music and global sounds in his 6th album titled Tranzworld Express. He is joined by guest musicians Amir Paiss on santoor and Parissa Bouas on vocals.

Tranzworld Express’s fascinating forms of global electronica mix frenetic club music with laid back pieces, combining electronic beats and harmonies with acoustic instruments. There is even trance-like Berlin-style electronica.

The album carries a message of optimism and hope, betting on a future with a more sound environmental policy based on renewable energy, supplied by wind, water and solar resources.

Peter Westheimer grew up in Melbourne Australia and has been recording music since 1982. He has released 6 music albums, made music videos and composed music for two feature films, many television documentaries and multimedia installations. He plays electric guitar, keyboards, synthesizer, sitar and flute.

The Tranzworld Express is an imaginary train of the future seamlessly crossing borders, ‘expressing’ the rhythms, melodies, harmonies and politics of changing cultures,” says Westheimer. “This album with its’ eleven track music menu was inspired by travels through Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the USA in 2009. Its’ rhythmic energies and perspectives come from the moving scenery of contemporary communities both rural and urban, and a retracing of family history. ”

Tranzworld Express is a vibrant amalgamation of East-West sounds with electronic rhythms for dancefloors worldwide.
