Spain is this year’s partner country at Germany’s jazzahead! 2012. Even before the official opening of jazzahead!, Spain will kick off its cultural program with a number of different events in Bremen. The sunshine country will present its contemporary arts and culture scene to the Northern city.
The opener for the diverse program will be the preview of a photo exhibition of Raúl Esteve at Swissôtel Bremen on March 1st. Further exciting highlights are, amongst others, the Sin Red concert at Instituto Cervantes, which is jazzahead!’s official cooperation partner this year. Dance enthusiasts can look forward to the Spanish Contemporary Dance Festival that will take place at Schwankhalle on May 3rd, 5th, and 6th.
The main musical highlight of the partner country program – besides the Spanish Night on April 19th – will be the gala concert by star flamenco guitarist Tomatito. The Grammy winner will perform with his Tomatito Sextet at Glocke concert hall on April 20th.
