And love rages on! (AO Music 2011)

Aomusic has made a noteworthy global electronica album that combines several international children’s choirs with electronic music. The result is an even mix of upbeat electronics, acoustic global instruments and captivating choirs and vocals with easy listening new age songs.

Aomusic’s lineup includes Richard Gannaway on stringed instruments and vocals, Miriam Stockley (formerly the voice of the best-selling group Adiemus) on both layered wordless vocals and a few syllables, words and phrases from various foreign languages, and Jay Oliver on keyboards.

The children’s choirs included in the album are CRC Children’s Choir, Beijing, Peoples Republic of China; Martve Children’s Choir, Tbilisi, People’s Republic of Georgia; and Bishop Bavin St. George’s Children’s Choir, Johannesburg, South Africa. The rest of the participants are Andy Georges on stringed instruments; George Bernardo on drums & percussion; Doug Lunn on bass; Ashwin Srinivasan on Indian flutes; Michael “Piper” Cooney on Irish pipes and wistles; Kimba Arem on didgeridoo; and seth Alexander on vocals.

The most interesting pieces are the tracks that fuse electronica with global music and outstanding vocal work: “Shen Deni,” “Kumale Saleyo,” “Tio Da Ye”, “One Kaleo”

We began production on this album eighteen months ago, just after the release of “Twirl” in 2009,” says Aomusic. “It features children’s choral ensembles from China, South Africa and the Republic of Georgia. The brilliant harmonic textures, melodies and rhythmic energy in these songs carry a message of rejuvenating freshness and spirit.”
