Shubha Mudgal, well-known Indian singer of Hindustani classical music and thumri, has also successfully branched out into fusion. She has won a range of awards including the Padma Shri and the Gold Plaque Award for Special Achievement in Music. She also appears in the Buddha Bar lounge series, and is known as a peace activist.

Her successful albums include Mann Ki Manjeree, Kisson Ki Chadar and The Awakening. This compilation includes 8 tracks, including the lovely piece “Seekho Na” as well as “Dere Dere,” “Pyar Ke Geet” and “Babul.” Earthy vocals, catchy rhythms and beautiful lyrics, this album has it all.
