Girls From The North Country, Live in Concert (Compass, 2011)
Dala has becopme one of the hottest acts in the North American folk pop circuit. Their live album Girls From The North Country, Live in Concert is now available in the United States. The album earned Dala the 2010 Canadian Folk Music Award for “Vocal Group of the Year”.
On Girls From The North Country, Live in Concert, singer-songwriters Sheila Carabine and Amanda Walther, present a collection of their ear-catching songs from their five albums as well as classics by Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Gordon Lightfoot.
Dala’s PBS special Girls From The North Country was broadcast across North America in the summer of 2010. Their concert was captured on CD and DVD. The album includes guest appearances by Oh Susana and Good Lovelies.
