On Sunday, August 22 of 2010, World Music Central migrated to a new content management system. The new system will allow readers to browse through our content, comment on stories and register much faster than before.
We are now using a custom version of the WordPress engine. Our news and articles will appear in a convenient blog format.
For musical genres and musical instrument glossaries, listings of music festivals, recording industry, and many other world music resources, you can visit our world music wiki.
We still have our popular Artist Database.

I like the redesign, I have been looking at wordpress for my site, although it doesn’t have nearly as much information on as yours, may be I’ll look into it further. Have you noticed an improvement?
The main improvements are that it is easier to manage and much faster.
Its a nice look but honestly its more tedious to see a recent article of interest (each takes more vertical space so more scrolling) and then you compact to small view anything over a day old it seems. So while a little more attractive, just not as easy to view latest entries. I am sure it is easier to manage though.
