Rock & Mexican roots music from Grammy Award Winners Café Tacuba at Barbican

London, UK – Café Tacuba + Forro in the Dark will perform 3 May 2008 at 19:30 at Barbican. With its sizzling mix of rock, hip-hop, ska and traditional Mexican music, Café Tacuba has been one of Latin America’s most successful and innovative bands over the last fifteen years.
 
 Arthouse enough to be covered by the Kronos Quartet, Urban enough to have built a raucous fan-base from the streets of Buenos Aires to the barrios of Mexico City. This will only be the band’s second ever show in the UK.Opening the concert are Forro in the Dark whose music is a mix of traditional Brazilian northeastern rhythm and New York City grooves.

The concert is part of La Linea, London’s Latin music festival.
