Peats Ridge Festival in Australia Seeking World Music acts

Australia – Peats Ridge Festival is inviting all bands and artists to apply to perform at this year’s Festival. The event takes place 29th December 2007 to 1st January 2008.

The musical categories the Festival is interested in include World Music, Blues, Roots and Dub, Contemporary Music & Chilled Beats. Applications are now open for all musical performers, installation artists, theatrical performers and children’s entertainers and workshops. Peats Ridge Festival is interested in all bands, from well known acts to good bands who are just starting out. Local, regional, interstate and international applications are all welcome. You could be one of the many performers that are part of the Peats Ridge Festival experience.

In 2006 Peats Ridge Festival featured 14 Stages, 360 Bands , 180 Artists, roving and site performers, cabaret and spoken word. The Festival presented an awesome line up of over 360 Acts in World Music, Blues Roots & Dub, Contemporary Music and Chilled Beats on Fourteen Stages including the Bellbird, Lyrebird, Underworld, Brass Monkey, The Dub Shack, Home Grown Roots, Jollywood, Hills Hoist, Coastal Live, Central Coast Brackets & Jam, Bohemian Love Theatre, Vic’s Disco Tent, Open Mic Australia, The Jam Tent and of course the Chai Tent.

 

Peats Ridge Festival is recognized as one of Australia’s best festivals. All this situated by the beautiful Popran River in the natural surrounds of picturesque Glenworth Valley, just one hour north of Sydney.

There is only a 6 week window to apply in, from Monday 25th June to Monday 6th August.
