Even though pow wows are not native to all Indian nations in North America, pow wows have become very popular across the United States and Canada. There are different styles, depending on the region. Black Lodge, led by Kenny Scabby Robe, have been around for over twenty years. They perform the variety known as northern style of singing and drumming.

The latest CD by Black Lodge, who are primarily members of the Blackfeet and Cree nations, is Watch This Dancer! The selection of pieces includes traditional songs as ell as intertribal songs.
