Guitarist John McLaughlin will be touring North America this fall with his brand new electric band, The 4th Dimension, starting with a show on September 13th at the Carolina Theater in Durham, NC. The tour covers sixteen metropolitan areas, with stops at Monterey Jazz Festival, San Francisco Jazz Festival.

Considered by many critics and fans to be one of the greatest jazz guitar players of all-time, McLaughlin, who has famously performed with Miles Davis and his own historic bands, The Mahavishnu Orchestra, Shakti and The Guitar Trio, has put together a stellar outfit to interpret his recent musical direction.

Level 42 and Allan Holdsworth drummer and keyboardist Gary Husband will play keys and percussion, Jeff Beck drummer Mark Mondesir will provide the beat and the young extraordinary French bassist Hadrien Feraud will complete the rhythm section.

The band will be playing compositions from McLaughlin’s recent critically acclaimed  Industrial Zen album in addition to some other new pieces. McLaughlin has not toured North America with an electric fusion band for 9 years making this a very welcome event for fans of his music- past and present.
