Paris, France – Following his much acclaimed appearances at Lollapalooza and Celebrate Brooklyn festivals last year, world music superstar Manu Chao brings his Latin flavor back to the US and Canada this summer to support his eagerly-anticipated fourth album due in September.

New dates include the famous Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tennessee; 2 dates at Celebrate Brooklyn 07; Ottawa Bluesfest; and Festival International d’Ete of Quebec, among others.

The French-Spanish star, who opened for Rage Against The Machine’s reunion concert at Coachella in April, easily won a crowd of 30 000+ impatient Rage fans with one of his trademark performances full of energy and fun.

His recordings include Clandestino (Virgin France CDVIR128, 1998), Próxima Estación: Esperanza  (Virgin France CDVIR141, 2001), Radio Bemba Sound System The Live Album (Virgin France CDVIR187, 2002) and Si Bérie M’était Contée (2004).

Manu Chao remains a world music icon throughout the globe, without doubt due mainly to his legendary stage presence and charismatic activist persona, but his talent has yet to be fully acknowledged in the US. This tour and his new album intends to change that.

As a teaser for the upcoming album, Manu Chao offers his brand new single “Rainin In Paradize” for free download on his official website, www.manuchao.net.
