Portugal – Festival Med, Portugal’s annual world music festival dedicated to the Mediterranean, will take place June 27 – July 1, 2007, in the historical center of Loulé (Algarve), Portugal. The lineup this year includes Aynur (Turkey); Sara Tavares (Portugal); Sergent García (France); Natacha Atlas (Egypt); Yerba Buena (USA); and others.
Festival Med – Festival of the Mediterranean was born in 2004, as part of the performing arts activities presented at "Host Cities of the Euro 2004". The first edition took place at the Municipal Park ("Fan Zone" of the Euro 2004 in Loulé).
Festival Med has the objective of showcasing the Culture of the countries of the Mediterranean Basin, featuring music, food, plastic arts, and street theater.
