Collectors of Apennines Folk

Viulan

Live (Radici Music Records, 2005)

Italian folk group Viulan performs music from the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Lele Chiodi (baritone vocals), Carlo Pagliali (tenor vocals) and Lauro Bernardoni (bass vocals) have researched Italian folk music for years. Many times they learned ancient songs from town elders.

Live captures the magical music world of the Apennines: love songs, lullabies, religious songs, and more. It features the three singer-story tellers together with guitarist Giorgio Albiani and multi-instrumentalist Silvio Trotta.
