This special edition set includes a CD with the album Shanda and a DVD with a live
performance and a documentary by the admirable Zimbabwean musician. In between
Oliver Mtukudzi introduces his family, his previous
bands, and his home studio. At the studio, one can follow his recording process
and how he interacts with other musicians.There are also interviews with his current band members, with an interesting perspective about the role of female musicians, plus a great music video
entitled “Ndakuvara.” Shanda is a fascinating look at one of the leading
figures in Zimbabwean music.
