Amparanoia has a new CD out and Euro Tour

Madrid, Spain – Amparanoia has a new CD out titled Rebeldia Con Alegria
(Rebellion with Happiness). It is a compilation album that follows the career of the charismatic singer and her band.

Part of a growing hybrid music scene in
Madrid
, Amparanoia is led by Amparo
Sánchez (vocals, guitar), composer and producer of the songs from a career that started in 1997 with El poder de Machin (The Power of Machin) and 1998 with Feria Furiosa
(Furious Fair), with the first version of her band. Amaparo’s current live band recorded the albums Somos Viento (We are Wind) in 2002
and Enchilao
in 2003.

The CD includes two previosuly unreleased tracks, taken for the single “Dolor, Dolor” and a version of the piece “Don’t Leave me now” with the band Calexico, recorded between Brussels and Arizona, at the end of 2003.
