Julie De Rossi was struck and killed by a drunk driver early on the morning of March 17. She was the Event Director of Motherland Entertainment in Houston. Motherland Entertainment is a U.S.-based agency dedicated to enhancing and promoting the global exchange of world music through delivery of personalized services, working with artists representing a wide range of genre from Afro beat to hip-hop, Jazz-fusion to rock, House to world beat.To honor her (as she did not want a funeral), there was a party Friday, March
26, at the 12 Spot in downtown Houston to celebrate the love that was her life.

Angel co-produced “Musica NA”, a music show for Televisión Española (TVE) in Spain that featured an eclectic mix of world music, fusion, electronica, new age and contemporary classical music. Angel also produced and remastered world music and electronic music albums, compilations and boxed sets for Alula Records, Ellipsis Arts, Music of the World, Lektronic Soundscapes, and Mindchild Records. He was also the executive producer of the first Latino feature film made in North Carolina titled “Los sueños de Angélica.”.
