Pablo Milanés to Sing against Violence in Santo Domingo

(Prensa Latina – Cumbancha) Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – Cuban singer Pablo Milanés will give a free concert in the Dominican Republic on November 22, the International Day of Non-Violence against Women, as part of a tour of the country. Milanés will perform at Plaza España, in Santo Domingo’s historic heart, after two concerts in La Fiesta Hall, in Santo Domingo, on the 20th, and Gran Teatro del Cibao, in Santiago de los Caballeros, on the 21st. The organizers of the free concert, who is interested in giving at least one free performance for low-income people, said that some renowned Dominican artists such as Sonia Silvestre and “merengue” singer Sergio Vargas might perform in Milanés’s concert.
