New York City, USA – Tower Records, the world’s largest independent music retailer opened its first store exclusively dedicated to world music.

The new store is located at 20 E. 4th Street, New York City (at the corner of 4th and Lafayette Street in Manhattan). Its catalog includes over 50,000 different titles, including Latin, Tropical, Reggae, Brazilian, Chinese, Japanese, J-Pop, African, French, Celtic, Italian, Cuban, Flamenco, Tango, Salsa, Polka, Jewish, Indian, Greek, Calypso, Arabic, Andean, Aboriginal, Ska, Samba, Rock en Español, Bossa Nova, Merengue, Russian, World Fusion and more.
